Virender Sehwag on Rohit Sharma: Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag said an important thing about the continuous poor batting of Rohit Sharma before the match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore today. He said that Rohit is not seen struggling because of the bowlers but he is struggling with himself. Sehwag says that there is no deficiency in Rohit’s batting technique, he is only suffering from mental block.
Talking on Star Sports, Sehwag said, ‘Rohit Sharma’s struggle is not with the bowlers but with himself. There is a mental block in his way. There is no flaw in his batting technique. There is some confusion in his mind. Whichever day he gets past this barrier, he will make up for the lack of poor batting in all the previous matches.
Batting average less than 20
In IPL 2023, Rohit has not been able to score even 200 runs in 10 innings. His strike rate has also been very low. He has scored 184 runs this season at a batting average of just 18.40 and a strike rate of 126.90. Rohit was out of form in the last season as well. He scored a total of 268 runs in 14 innings last season. During this also his batting average was only 19.14. Hitman’s strike rate was also limited to 120. That is, in the last 24 innings of IPL, his batting average is less than 20 and strike rate is less than 125.
Flops are going on in international cricket as well.
Rohit Sharma was dismissed for zero in his last match against CSK. With this, Bhirohit had made an embarrassing record in his name. He is the player who got out on zero most times in IPL. Rohit Sharma has been flopping not only in IPL but also in international cricket since last one year. Runs are not coming out of his bat in all the three formats of cricket.
